Has anyone got one of these yet ( I know its early days)??. It looks superb, very Hype -ish but hopefully structually superior!!!. I have an irvine 53 waiting for a lightweight 3D machine. I have been looking at the funtana 40 (but think the 53 wont be enough poke) and the 3Styla (not ARTF) but by all accounts is great fun. I cant wait to hear flying opinions on this thing. Credit card is warmed up.

something tells me Phil Vandries, 3dstein designed it, but i may be wrong... if this is the case then it should be a pretty awesome plane!

Yeah, I designed it. Flies brilliant, but then again I would say that.
Seriously though, it flies so slow, the wing loading is really low even with the engine I've got in it. An irvine 53 on its own might struggle a little bit in the prop hanging stuff. You might wanna stick a weston pipe on it to give it that extra bit.
The one in the picture (mine) has got a OS91fx in it ands its just superb. Prop hanging at less than half throttle with massive amounts of power on tap if it all goes pear shaped. Mine weighs in at about 5.5lb if I remember rightly, but its got a huge wing.

Phill.
Good job on the design. Looks great. I am sure it flys a treat. Is a OS 91 FX the stanadrd choice engine for everything from now on then?
You had a mate that sent me an email. He has set up a graphics company. Do you think he could design a scheme and supply the graphics for some models of mine If so give me his email or better still get him to get in touch with me
cheers

If the adrenalin is the one Ali designed then i had a fly of the original prototype, Ali test flew it at the 3style comp and he let me have a on the test flight. I had just sold my Synergy 90 (ys110) and this had a YS 91 but it performed better in all aspects than the synergy.
considering this was a test flight with no setting up i think the potential is amazing.
(this plane was in the drippy paint scheme)

Ok I think ill get peter to get me an adrenaline then, Especially if its better than the Synergy (I really love my synergy). The synergy is the only AA type plane I have had experience with, so I don't really know how good it is. I have had a few goes with a Capiche 50, but I didn't like it because it was set up horribly.

Hi
Just been looking at the formula on the YT site, looks very nice. But, i notice the thicker wing section on the side view, how doest this handle the faster pattern maneuvers?
I see that YT will be at W&W, just after my birthday, hummmmmmm could be a contender ecpecitall at that price. Does it fly like your typical 3D funfly (flip/hype etc) or is it allot more C50 like?
Also, how is the RCV 90CD like in it, id like to have a go of one of theese engines but if its not very good i may have to resort to YS power !o!

edible. it is nothing like a hype. and its nothing like a C50
its like a Synergy or majestic and flys similar to a Capishe 140 but slightly hevier loaded.

Boy
Eddy is talking about the Formula 3D, not the adrenaline..
Formula 3D is a Fun Fly
Adrenaline is for AA, like the C50 and 140.
We got FOUR of em coming to see what theyre like !
apparently there is only a minor problem with the first batch, in that the belly pan (wrapped balsa) is 5mm too narrow. Easily fixed by cutting the U shape formers and hence allowing the pan to widen then re glue at the new position. Dont sound like too much bother.
I am choosing this over the Syn 90 as my 3D Aero Hack...I mean practice model... perhaps...
But when that 140 rolls out the Van... no going back !
BTW, the Formula 3D is not ready for release yet.... YT has been shortchanged on some of the bits from the factory so they are waiting for the parts to come in before sending any out... VERY RESPONSIBLE !

Whens the Adrenalin due? Got me a redundant YS110 that needs a new home.
Looks good apart from the cowling....reducing down to that small spinner just don't look right.

Its on the home page (scroll down a bit)
I have to agree with Simon, that cowl does not do the rest of the plane justice.[&:]

ASM. its an ARTF. They often show what they're like in bare bones.
I hear the Sheik of Hainault had something to do with designing it.

Oi Sultan of South end less of that.
The cowling on the yt Pictures is darn ugly I should know every time I look at my plane it's stuck to the front of it. The good news was that was a one off pre production. As soon as I saw it I knocked it straight on the head. The production kits are in stock now and they have a much nicer cowling far less square at the bottom more shapely I think. Oh and a couple of little pretty vents. (You will like them Si)
