Hi,
Im looking to replace my tired old Ripmax extreme and have a new YS 63fz looking for a home. Just been on the YT site and can't decide whether to get a Formula 3D or a Freestyle Rush. I want something a little more accurate than your average fun fly. Anyone know which one flies better?
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers
Joe

Engine selection, looks like it will take a wide selection of engines from 46 two stroke to a 91. Would it take a YS 91 or 110?
Cheers

Kris,
Depends on the weight of the engine compared with the 91fx.
I've got my battery pack at the back of the wing to make it balance.
As long as theres not too much more weight in it slap the YS110 on!!!
Just go careful with the throttle.

Chris in our club got one at Sandown after seeing Terry fly, should be out on the field soon
hopefully I'll get a play some time, i like trying new things.
I'd have to agree it's a very nice looking plane.
nice to see even more locally designed planes going global
a couple of others also brought Rush's, and one of them wants an Adrenalin also.

Xup,
If you've already spoken to Wilson he will probably tell you that we sold out at Sandown (unless he's found one hiding in the warehouse he didn't know about). Now I don't know how bad you want one of these but there's a reject kit at my place that got a damaged wingtip in shipping, and a very slight bend in the fuz (read slight)... Yours for £75 if your desperate - otherwise wait for the next shipment. I'm enjoying myself in the Isle of Wight at the moment slope soaring, so I will do nothing with this until I get back on Wednesday a.m. Because of the box damage we can't ship this kit, so it's pickup only I'm afraid.[

Xup,
Okay, I've sent you a message back. I'll send some pics of the damage when I get back to Brum, wouldn't like you to buy blind.

Ok "She" is home
First, TY to Slyms,....... for sorting this one out for me, met him at Weston Park show yesterday, top man[sm=thumbup.gif]
First pic's, as she comes out of the Box.

Info
60 inch wingspan, 60 inch in length
component weights
Fuselage + wing cowl 364 Grams 12 3/4 oz (as in pic)
Cowl 53 Grams 1 7/8 oz
Wing with ailerons 520 Grams 1lb, 2 3/4 oz fitted, glued, and sealed
Stab and elevators 91 grams 3 1/8 oz
Vertical fin and Rudder 35 grams 1 1/4 oz
Canopy 41 grams 1 3/8 oz 20% less when it is trimmed down to size
Hardware 180 Grams 6 1/4 oz wheels, clevis, horns, Tank, and fuel tank, engine mount +all the nuts bolts etc.
Landing Gear 102 grams 3 1/2 oz
Quick impression, it's going to be very light, with a massive wing area.
Hope to hit, sub 5lb, 4oz with a Saito 91 and APC 15X4W prop.
Start the build on Tuesday.

Xup,
Well thank you... Glad to see you are pleased with the kit, and I'm looking forward to reading your build online.
Just got back this morning, brain's still a lttle numb from rain, cold and alcohol... good laugh though. Hats off to the Wreking model guys.
These forums are very useful for us to see modellers reactions, suggestions and problems, allowing us to hopefully implement what we learn into our kits. We never stop learning...

four stroke is always best for 3D. saito are the best unless you got cash then YS are by far the best. the 91 or the 82 will go good in this plane

Hi Wizone,
We've only got some slight seconds left of the Formula's, so if your hoping to pick one up at W&W then that might be your only choice. Nothing serious with these, in fact the pics that Xup has posted are of one. If that's no good then I'm afraid we won't have any more for over a month! Sorry, wasn't expecting the response to be so great and we kinda under-ordered...
Wizone, if you do want one of the damaged kits, at a reduced price, then I strongly recommend you contact Wilson at www.ytinternational.co.uk and ask if he can reserve one for you. I would have taken care of this myself, but I'm off on my jolly's on Saturday and leaving him to fend for himself at Wings & Wheels and Woodsprings Ha Ha!
Got to agree with edible... 4 strokes are best, though that doesn't mean to say you can't still have fun with a good .60/.90 2st. if funds are tight.
