Just thought I would post some pics of my Ikon N'wst Curtis Robin OX-5 Version here for you all.
Airctaft Specs
Full Scale Aircraft Produced in the late 1920's
1/5 Scale Specs
Wingspan 96"
Weight 13-15lbs (mine should be a litte lighter)
Engine Used OS 91FS
If you have any questions or comments don't hesitate to ask. Here is a picture of the full size aircraft (what mine should look like when it is finsihed.)

Here you can see how the sheeting is used to make it appear like there are metal fuel tanks in the wings. The whole aircraft will be covered in Scale Sits Covering including the pinking tape on the ribs, and then painted with Poly-Tone paint.

control surfaces are curently taped in place since I am still waiting for the arrival of my scale hinges. You can also see the elevator control rods sticking out the side of the fuse.

Here is the piece that I am most proud of, my working scale tail skid. This little thing took me over 8hrs to finally get it working right. There is a small spring in the brass tube that the steel rod compresses when weight is put on it.

Thanks for all your info..Yours looks great..Are the outer strut supports detailed in the later kit, because mine does not show them, same with the tail skid ? How did you fabricate the exhaust stacks ?I'll probably be asking you alot more questions...Thank you!!!

It seems just wrong to lurk about and not comment on your great work on this project. While I don't expect to get much beyond my ERTL Texaco Diecast model, it is really nice to see the progress you are making. This is a really terrific coice. I'll be lurking about to see how it all turns out.
