Cubs only section take II

It's funny a couple months ago I asked Rc Universe if it was possible to add a Cubs only section. They told me to put a poll on line to see what the people want. Well I put one online and had several votes. More for having it then they were against having it. The funny part is that the poll and post are no where to be seen so let's give it another try and see if this one gets lost?

I for one would like to see a Cubs only section,
I would venture to say that the Cub has been modeled more than any other plane out there. I do not understand why anyone would be against it. If there is enough interest start a forum if you want to read and post do so, ifnot don't!!! Seems pretty simple to me
Maybe I will change my name to CubNut

ps. I just changed my name

I can see a snow ball effect here, what next??? A separate one for P-51's? Corsair's and who knows what other plane. If we were to set up a Cub only forum then said no to another popular plane then we would be called out on it. I voted no but just so you know I love the Cub!

More like the new sport flyers forum. Not a lot to talk about that couldnt be done elsewhere. I vote no. Peaple can do a search. I'm sure there are lots of cub threads.

Can't believe all the resistance!! AOL had a cub forum something like 10 years ago, so it is not a new revolutionary idea...
Corsairs and P-51s already have their own forum called warbirds..
RC helicopters have separate forums for Century, Thunder Tiger, LMH and Kyosho (not manufacturer supported forums);
RC cars have forums for Monster trucks, stadium trucks,scale cars, scale buggies, onroad nitro, drifting RC cars, etc etc...
RC boats have Speed electric, speed nitro, speed RC gas as well as scale, submarines, and warship combat;
Electrics has indoor and park fliers, foamies, and indoor and micro RC flight
Lots of pretty fine divisions are already in place in other areas of RCU. If Century helicopter flyers, or Stadium Trucks can have their own forum, why not Cubs? the precedent has already been set. If a significant user base will support a cub forum, and the resources are availble, why not do it? (on the flip side, if it is not supported, then it will die and fade away - but I don't think that will ever happen!)

I have nothing against Cub's. I also have no desire to own one. I voted yes, if people don't want to view the forum they don't have to.

Close, but no CEEEGAR on the logic.
The car forum doesn't have a section for Mustangs or for GTO models only,
The heli section doesn't have a section for only Huey heli's,
And boats doesn't have section for only Wellcraft Scarab Kv's.
If you want to go down the path for specific aircraft, why not a thread for only "red airplanes" or "only white cubs"? Or maybe "FW-190 A-4 with 8 spoke wheels" and another for "FW-190 A-8 with 10 spoke wheels"?
Seems somewhat silly to me to try and go down to specific aircraft type. Just my opinion.

I voted no but not because I have any thing against cubs. The reason I voted no is that is another place I would have to scan for information. I don't read all the threads in Scale but I read a lot of them. I do learn things that I would have otherwise missed.
It would make sense to have a WWI Aero section and Classic planes section as well. That would probably make more sense and cover those era aircraft.

At this point, support is running almost 2.5 to 1 in favor.....

As much as I like Cubs, IMHO, there is no need for a Cub only forum. If you count the number of Cub posts in RCU they are to few to merit a separete forum. I would rather check the content of only one busy Scale forum rather than several less busy ones.

You are missing the point, (or choosing to)...the deed has already been done, there is no new ground being furrowed here.

Well, someone is missing the point, and I don't think it was me if you review my earlier post. As I tried to point out, the "the deed has not already been done."
Looks like the few votes are still in favor...
I still think it's not a good idea.

First of all I do not claim to be an expert on Cub but I do have a great knowledge on them. As one would look around RC Universe they will find Cub stuff in several different areas and I'm just looking for a way to pull it all together.
