I am Bias. I voted for the Fl330, but am sure a plane with more wing area and less weight would 3D slower. This plane is just as happy flying IMAC sequences or sporting around as it is locking into a harrier or tumbling down in a waterfall. It is IMAC legal 21.5%

Best 3D and .40 size.....
There is no question that none of these are even in the top 5... If you really want 3D and a .40 size, a modern profile will blow these away. A .40 size profile will be a full pound lighter, have more wing area, and larger control surfaces. None of these "wide bodies" can compete with that. Then again, if 3D isn't THAT important, then my vote would be the 330.

The motor does pretty good but could be better, maybe ill try the 15x4
Im surprised the F-40 has recieved the most votes, iv owned this plane and was never impressed with it, horrible wing rock in harriers, really bad KE coupling.

you had something wrong with yours then, most people dont know how to do a harrier properly they just throw in 50 degrees of throw and hope for the best, that will not cut it with a F40

No there was nothing wrong with it, it wing rocks when landing also, not at as bad, and not all the time.
I liked the F-40 But was never totaly impressed with some of its slow flight charechteristics, if your a really good pilot like Kyle its no big deal but im not all that great.
There was some problems with elevator flexing but that was fixed so that wasnt the issue.

Anybody flown the Cermark Banche??
If so how does she fly?
And wryman what do you suggest the fix is for the F-40, id almost consider trying one again, the last one i bought used, and it had some previus crash damage that had been fixed and patched up, if i did it again id buy a brand new one and really build her strong.
Any suggestions ?

The FL330 does nice slow HE KE and KE loops. Very little coupling is needed.

Dang nice hucken guys!!!Did you guys ever pick up a FL330? You were going to about 2 months back when I got my first one.
Is PL EDGE KE loop capable or even HA KE?
When Kyle flew my Fl330 he was very impressed with it. The strait hucking was incredible. Man, he was putting it thru some wild tumbling maneuvers --going in at high speed and I was thinking please stay in one piece bird[sm=lol.gif]

thanks for the comments
the edge does some really nice high alpha knife edge, it can prolly do a knife edge loop but it would not look right.
No seeems like the plane was out of stock and really kind of lost interest in it now.
Yeah kyle is a very good pilot! you should have shoot a video of him flying that one =)

So maybe i just havnt seen one in capable hands yet. Got a vid that will just blow my mind of a profile then send me the link.
Im really not picky about my planes, ill fly anything as long as its capable of fun.
Im not trying to offend anybody or piss anybody off, these are just my views and opinions from my own experience in this hobby.
The reason i started this post was to see what everybody thought was the best to help me decide on my next home for my 82.
I dont care if a profiles the best or a widebody, there all planes that equal alot of fun (and $$$)

When you say this:
I assume that you have your CG set back pretty far and the combination of that along with a higher wing loading(due to a heavy engine along with other things) is causing this:
What servos are you using? how much do they weigh? My guess is that you could cut some weight off it by changing servos. also, are you using a high capacity battery? If so, you probably could use a standard 4-5 cell(obviously a 4cell weighs less than a 5 cell of the same capacity). Hope this helps.

CG was right at factory specs, I was using a 4 cell JR flight pack 1000mah, to get cg my pack had to sit right behind the tank.
I was running 4 JR NES537 and 1 Futaba 3003 for throttle, i never actully wieghd this plane, i didnt have a digital scale when i owned it.
Me and about 3 other guys think this f-40 was a lemon because its been threw 4 owners now, each one having the same issues, each owner running very differnet setups, First owner ran a saito 72 and had 3 flights on it, he broke the gear off every flight due to slapping it down on landing, I was the second owner and had 2 dead stick landings where i ended up breaking the gear off, other then thoughs two landings the rest were fine.
I think most the problems i had were due to tail flex so im actully considering this plane one more time, but like i said before i will never buy one used again, it will be new ITB and built to my standerds.
