If you pull the bottom wing off you still can have a slow flyer if you tape 3 or 4 feet of a light streamer to the tail.I use silver aerobird streamer. That tug on the tail slows it down and actualy makes it fly better without nose weight. the longer the streamer the slower it turns.

I HAVE TWO OF THESE PLANES THEY ARE GREAT THE FIRST ONE I BOUGHT WAS FROM WAL-MART THEY HADE 10 OF THEM, I GOT THE BLUE ONE, IT JUST MADE LEFTS BECAUSE THE RIGHT MOTOR WAS NOT TAPED ON IN THE RIGHT LOCATION IT WAS NOT IN THE RECESS IN THE WING IT WAS UP ON THE WING I JUST RESET IT AND IT WAS FINE THE PROP NEED TO BE POINTING OUTWARD WITH TIP OF PROP ABOUT 1/8" AWAY FROM WING TIP, BY ADJUSTING THE MOTORS IN AND OUT THE PLANE WILL GO FASTER AND TURN FASTER. THE MODS I HAVE MADE WAS LANDING GEAR FROM THE WATAGE MICRO FLYER(JUNK PLANE) IT SNAPS IN JUST IN FROUNT OF THE CHARGING JACK EXACT FIT,KNOW I CAN TAKE OFF FROM THE GROUND, WING MODS I ADDED THE TIPS FROM A $1.97 HAND GLIDER FROM WAL-MART TEST IT OUT USE THE WHOLE WING ON TOP AND ADDED ABOUT 2" TO EACH WING TIP ANGLED UP JUST A LITTLE LEAVE THE BOTTOM WING.

Hmm thats a good idea a streamer. Thanks for the info. I took off the spring on the throttle now the stick stays put.
I'm getting more fight time than ever before right out the front door. This plane is too cool.

yeah getting it up that high is ez, with the lower wing off it is dont know how ez it would be with the lower wing on, geting down is a little bit hard but still ez. just lay off the gas, gun it for a second to turn if you have to, other then that its a snap to fly. while i was at the field a friend had brought his Airhogs SkyWinder. It was is first time flying it, the first flight went well, the second he slammed it into the baseball field at full speed nose first and broke the tail off, almost broke one wing off, returend it and got a AA Frequency C thank god! To many people are geting these things where i live. 2 people have AA's including me and my brother, 2 frequency A's, one Frequency B, and one C

well the back axle is a paperclip as well... it flys great... better in the wind, and slow steady turns. it likes the fly level and i havent been able to takeoff from the ground. with the position of the wheels (tripod) it is rather hard to keep going straight.

i have since (late last night) i redesigned the front gear i put a wheel there as well i havent though been able to fly a lot did last night by moon light briefly and seemed good. ill post how it flys after this modification and a picture later... im pretty sure itll be the same in flight though, cause now its just a wheel in the front instead of a skid.

btw if you are intersested in takeing off i would suggest a tripod with the two wheels in the front... with the nose an inch and a half off the ground and a lil skid in rear to keep the tail from dragging

have some fun experimenting and juss do it. anything you do can be removed if it doesnt work like you want. thats the way i look at it.

Okay so I put on some paper clip skids for LG's but it is too windy to fly so I post back later when it is not so windy. Thanks for the pics and help.

I typed this several pages ago - My AA has landing gear and it wouldnt ROG due to spinning. I tried something that someone else said reminded them of the Wright brothers. I use about 8 feet of Hot Wheels track which keeps the plane straight long enough to reach speed and lift off, every time. The front wheels straddle the track while the rear wheel rides in the middle. You should try it.

I don't have a hot wheels track.
All I use the AA's LG's for is for landings
the bottom of my plane was getting torn up so I put landing skids on it.
works good so far

Great thread for the Aero Ace!
Here's the stick pic of my PBY/N.
The AA electronics are already in and now I'm
finishing up the paint & decals.
Hope it flys as well as my other Ace.
