Hey,
A friend just told me about these airplanes and I intend to go out and get one this weekend. It looks like there is a new one with a motor on the front in addition to the two on the wings. These things are like bumper cars. I saw one flown into a wall with no damage!

Enjoy!

I tried the glue stripe on a motor and it failed. The glue seems to work well on a styro to styro basis.

Ha! Not anymore than me going on about V tails. Which, by the way since
you have a stab in front, was wondering how the V might work on your plane.

The rudders on the wings solved my spiraling problem. This morning I took
her to about 80 feet, flew over some trees, and managed to get her down
in a tennis court. I need that right stick mod!
My son's friend, who's 12 years old, managed to fly it very well in just a few
minutes never having flown RC before.

This plane looks alot like the Air Hog AA but with a different controller. It mentions that it uses a NiMH battery but latter in the page it mentions LiPo.
Only $17.95 Has any one else ran into this web dealer?

Same Plane. Just not called an Aero Ace and has a smaller crappier remote.

raidentech is basically a rip-off company. they've taken just about every plane ever made, copied it legally or illegally, made it a lot worse than the originall, and then sell it.

the double talk about the lipo/nimh makes me think its probably an nimh pack. the throttle probably isnt proportional either, and even though its only 17 bucks, not including shipping, my guess is it isnt worth it. for the fun of it, i checked the S&H prices, next day air was a whopping 51.98 dollars! ground shipping alone is over 10 dollars, so you'd be looking at almost 30 bucks, which is 10 more than you'd pay at TRU, and you wouldnt have to wait for the mail man

Oh, Ok, Yeah I didnt look at the shipping price for them on the web site. Ouch.

I ran into this thread a few days ago while searching for the Harbor Freight J3 Cub I got. Ran out yesterday and picked up a AA at Target. My next stop was going to be TRU, darn.
I'm sure I will get another one anyway so Ill check out the newer AAs at TRU.

TNX,
Greg

That J3 Cub looks like a really nice plane!
Tried out a boomerang type wing. The plane now is very quick
and needs half throttle just to keep it aloft. Full throttle and she
steadily climbs. This is the fastest that I've gotten the AA to fly yet.

The left engine on my Aero Ace stopped working after a few hours of flight. The right engine works just fine. Does anyone know how to fix the left engine?

Thanks!

Hard to say Drew without looking at it. Bad electrical connection in
the wire motor, reciever problem or Tx problem. Had that happen
to mine because the shaft had gotten pushed to far into the lower
bearing. I just pulled on the prop to bring out the shaft again.
If you only have a few hours on it you might want to take it back
for a new one or a refund.

Has anyone had theirs get so the motors won't turn fast enough to fly anymore ? I got one back in December that quite flying 2 months ago . I don't know if it is the battery or the motors . Of course I got another one right away to replace it but if there is a cheap way to fix the other one I would . I might go to TRU later to see if they have the new AA jet . My #1 love of the hobby is my glow planes but I got hooked on the convenience of the AA over the winter and being able to fly in my back yard . It is too windy today for glow planes or the AA either one []. Sometimes I get lucky and it calms down just before dark and I get sky time in my back yard .

So how do you know it's a 06 and what makes it different?

In any case I have come up with a rational for owning 9 AAs. especially for us old guys that are supposed to get motivated to get off our rears and get out of the house. You need one of each frequency so you can play with two friends (or make new friends if you don't have two flying buddies). You need one of each frequency to be charging as you fly so you don't get the inclination to just go back in the house while waiting and end up taking a nap. And you need one of each frequency to let the one you just flew cool down for 10 before recharging. Now that I think of it you actually need 12 planes - the extra three to use when one of the others goes bad.

the 2006 models are alive and well in Phoenix. You can tell them from the others because Air Hogs completely changed their packaging.

I went to TRU yesterday, they had the sale still on so I picked up my 3rd AA. The orange model. No new models yet however.
