i'd go for a ally rear shock tower though
or go for a 52cc conversion on a wider chassis
(excuse watercooling )

Mine's not built yet - It'll take a while to get it up and running.
There's not much video footage or photos of jet-turbine projects around so I vowed to get loads and let everyone download them.
Keep watching

Get a good stiff stabi bar in there you will need it to keep it going straight.
Or attach some wings would be maybe better

Yep I am thinking a wing like is on the top fuel cars. It has variable downforce and large side plates to aid with directional stability. But hey...anyone building this beast isn't too stable anyway

I've got anti-roll bars and a front spoiler to keep it down but I hadn't thought of something like a fin to keep it straight.
The suspention is gonna be lowered and stiffened and you're right, I'm far from stable myelf
Someone in the know has told me that it will easily reach speeds in excess of 100mph in about 6 seconds (if it doesn't get airborne first).

Run some plumbing back to the exhaust and pump some raw fuel in there.. I want to see 14ft flames coming out of the back like the Les Shockley's Shockwave!!!

& some turbines to go with it
edit: those trucks are so cool was looking on the net to see if i could find more info on them, found this link to his site incase any ones is intrested
http://www.shockwavejets.com/
Owner Les Shockley
Driver Scott Shockley
Chassis 4130 Chromemoly
Body Special Fiberglass 1957 Chevy
Engines 2 Pratt & Whitney J-34-48's
Horsepower 25,000
Thrust 12,500 Static, with afterburner
Weight 5,000 lbs
Parachutes Main and Reserve 4-16 foot
Fuel Diesel, 80 gal per run
Value $500,000
"The truck's best performance has been 376 mph on a two-mile runway, as recorded in the Guinness Book of Records. "Stand her straight up and she'll pick up 3 g's, the same as what the NASA space shuttle will do."
after looking at the price i think i will just have to dream about owning one, unless any one knows of a engine tuner that can get 25,000hp out of a zen 260

This guy holds the current jet semi truck land speed record.... over 400 mph set this year.... broke the Guinness World Records
Just saw this on the discovery channel he was in the Pikes Peak hill climb with this semi ...WON... then went to the salt flats and broke the speed record for jet semis

I worked for Kenworth/Paccar in Renton Wa. for a few years and they brought two truck like that in for us to check out one was the Pikes Peak challenge truck and the other was the land speed record truck. In the videos they had it melted the aircraft tires that were on it and in another it was stuck in the salt flats.
Very cool! They also did a T2000 for some TV show a few years back it was like Night rider or somthing..

its got to be one of the best jobs going - getting up to build jet trucks then get paid for showing them off
