Is anyone using the new tires/rims from the Cen nemesis? I like the look and the 55 series idea & the 23mm Hex hubs. I can't seem to find a very good price on them, though.

[link=http://www.dennisnadams.com/tmaxx/LST/CEN_tabletop_home_theater.divx]You will need to down load this and have DivX to play it... Me testing on the track.[/link]

The tires are out of stock but you can backorder...

I need to do more testing with them. When I was using them I was just starting to figure out that I had worn out my shocks.

man those things are rediculos! I have the 23mm PL hex adaptors so i may just have to pick a set up.. I added them up and for a complete set its only about 88 bucks on killerhobbies. I think I might buy them, though i'd like to hear what 2D has to say about them first.

Yaa, I would like to know some more opinions about these too.
I just finished mounting mine and had the worst thing happen in the process. When I was gluing the tires on, I had the tires on the wheels than pulled them back to lay down some thin CA in the bead. Than I pulled the tire back over in place, in the bead of the rim. When I did this, I snapped the tire in place on a small puddle of CA and it sent some spattering in my eye. It didn't stick my eye lids together, but it was pretty painful. Maybe someone can learn from my mistake?
Anyway,
I want to hear how the tires size and width compare on the track to others like the Pythons or other 40 series tires. I know the larger diameter of them are making the truck go faster, but what else?
Thanks for the feedback!

2d, not to be a wise a_ _, but what is up with the on/off on/off with the throttle in the above video? Why not be smooth? Sorry, just a pet peeve.

Yes, after 4 W's in a row I decided to go with it.
Seriously it is really pronounced in that video because I just stuck the tires on for the first time and tossed my LST on the track. It totally changed my handling and if you had saw my first attempt at the table top there you would understand my restraint.
I'll post it in a minute or two.

Click pic for video (divX) of my first RPM breakage ever.......

This was my very first trip around the track with these tires. The rest of those jumps were with a broken RPM upper A-arm. Listen, you can hear it snap....

2D,
Any further comments on this wheel/tire combo? Can someone post a pic comparison with the prolines? Just wondering exactly how much bigger the 55's are.

I have not raced with them yet, I've been tied up with other issues. I will though, soon. Here are some pics next to my Panther Pythons mounted on 40series.

Got mine on and love they way they look, just down rite mean
I havn't got to drive on them yet , rainy, and coldish. This truck was bad to the bone with SKP's on 40's.

I like the way they look soo much on my truck, that I really don't want to buy 40 series anymore.
The size and thinner width appeal to me greatly also!
I ran them for the first time bashing around last weekend and can say I love the way they handle too.
I haven't had a chance to take them to the track, so I don't know how well they'll preform there. But if the bashing session was any indication, it seems I'll be getting around the track faster with these too.
Now we just need different 50 series racing tread designs to come out!
