Greetings,
I have had trouble downloading new airplanes lately. I can do to rc-sim and download them and then run the self-extraction program that most afpd planes come with, but then they do not show up to select in AFPD. They are in the correct director and best I can tell are all labeled correctly. I am running 1.8.0.25
Any clues?

What directory are you putting them in?
What directory are you putting them in?
C:\Program Files\IPACS\AeroFly Professional Deluxe\aircraft is the directory that the new aircraft are going into. I've installed a/c in the past and they are in this directory (and show up/function fine). I don't know what's up with the new planes, though.

Done!
I sent the tornado off of rcsim.de as an example. The last dozen or so haven't worked. It worked before; the only thing different is upgrading to the latest patch.

OK Looking at the file you sent. It is set up for the add ons version (no problem you can fix this) and I would guess that all the other planes that are not working for you are the same.
Here is how to fix:
Go to the aircraft directory and find/open the file.
Look for the .TMD file
right click it and choose open
You'll prolly get a message saying that you can't open it and that you need to choose a program. Choose "Wordpad"
Now you need to alter this line in the TMD file:
// aerofly professional --------------------------------------------------------
//
// file: xxxxxxx.tmd
// version: 1.9.0 <<<<<<<<ALTER THIS LINE TO: // version 1.8.0
//
// type: 20
// lock: 0
//
// -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Make sure you click save
This should get ya up and running.
