I'm not sure if you guys know but there is a new Caliber 3 coming out. [link=http://www.kyosho.co.jp/web/products/helicopters/caliber/caliber30/caliber3/caliber3-j.html]Here is a link to the site with it on.[/link] Sorry it is only in japanese. It isn't on the english part of the site yet. Some features I know about are most of the wires are internal (excpet I think for the gyro) and the paddles (can't remember what you call them anymore) are a new design. The servo's are kept in a compartment at the front that is protected if/when you crash. The gyro is still out side. It's slightly shorter (both height and length) and lighter.
Specs:
Length: 1,105mm
Width: 220mm
Height: 408mm
Weight: 2,850g
Main Rotor Diameter: 1,230mm
Gear Ratio: 9.6 : 1 : 5
If you already know this well then.............................................. ............

It looks really good!!
I would take a guess that the kit would cost +/- $250 because the caliber 5 is $299.
Might be a good investment if thats the case

In NZ dollars the guy who is selling them is aiming for $1300 for everything (transmitter, reciever, gyro's, stater kit, etc)

Yes. He deals in all Japanese. The TX was a Fubata. Not sure what the engine and servos etc are. Probably a Japanese brand. I don't think he ships overseas though.

I'll have to find out how much it is here, my hobby shop should get one soon. I'm not too sure whether it might be a better deal to get the caliber 5...anyway my 90SE comes 1st!!

[link=http://llombard.club.fr/images/cali3/cali3.html]Caliber 3 Page 2[/link]
EDIT:
I have fixed the second link. The first link gives pics of parts of the Caliber 3 and the second link gives pictures of the whole heli.

That sounds a very good price for NZ. What radio comes with the package. What starter gear.
NZ is normally quite pricey, but thats a much better price than I paid for everything here in Asia.

The kit comes with the OS MAX32SX-H RING engine. Apart from that and the kit you have to separately buy the radio, reciever, servos, gyro and starting gear. Are you located in NZ? You're location tag is a bit confusing. If in Auckland I can give you contacts of a guy who is getting some or already has them. He also includes the radio, reciever, servo's, gyro and starting gear. He is aiming for NZD$1300 for it all. The Kit plus the engine itself is aproxx NZD$600 so it may be towards NZD$1500. Not sure yet.

That doesnt sound too bad for NZ.
Interesting to see how it compares to the caliber 30.
Im from NZ, living in asia now. Do get to NZ occasionally though.
Thanks for the contact, but happy with the caliber 30 for now.

Are caliber 3 parts in? I'm interseted in a Caliber 3 canopy for my Caliber 30. Could anybody with access with it buy one and send it to me in the US? I'll pay for the canopy, shipping, and extra money for your troubles.
