Hey i have a hyper 7 with a mach .28 engine and am wondering what i can get if i sell it used? It had only 3 tanks of use and never passed half throttle. The only problem is its missing the rubber piece that connects the header to the pipe. Thanks

OK I bought this a couple months ago but realized RC Cars are not for me. It has three tanks on the engine and buggy. Oh and there is a little burn spot on the body from the the exhaust but its hardly noticable. The pics show it a little dirty because at the time i hadnt cleaned it. I didnt realize they needed so much maintence such as cleaning etc. so i saw no point in using it.

Dude, I am not trying to bust your ballz on this, but a tiny bit of research would have gone a long way into saving you some money. I would consider this an expensive mistake, but everyone's wallet is different.
Anyway, you should be able to get 1/2 of what you paid, selling it on eBay. Perhaps more. I'd say post it with a starting bid of $50 and a reserve of 1/2 the original cost (or 1/2 of what you put into it).

Clean it up, its pretty crusty. Most people don't know what to look for when purchasing a used buggy, all they go on is if it looks new or not. The cleaner you make it the more money you will make. Spending one whole day with a toothbrush, some Simple Green, Armor All, etc could add enough to the resale to make it more than worth your time. Also, check out E-Bay's tips on how to photograph an item (lighting, background, etc.).

The motor is almost brand new. I didnt ride it hard for the three tanks. The only problem is I dont have the plastic piece that connects the header to the pipe. I think it would cost like a dollar. I dont know if this forum is like others where you can sell stuff to other members? If anyones interested? One more thing, would any hobby shop buy it from me (ill clean it up good).

Don't sell it incomplete. If its only a dollar part, then buy it. Nobody wants an RTR that isn't an RTR. Also, be brutally honest about the condition of the vehicle. If there are any scratches, wear, broken parts, etc. do not lie, show photos of it, people are getting sick of E-bay scams and starting to look into legal action more and more.

Listen to what kx250 said. Its true. Never lie, if one screw is missing saw it. Replace the coupler and clean that up. With three tanks how in the heck did it get that dirty? No where near finished with break-in yet.
