Bad news from the NashBro event.
When I find out the real story I'll post. Cell phones have not been working at the field, so details are sketchy.
09.16.06 (PBRNEWS) - LEIPERS FORK, TN USA
RC AIRPLANE ENTHUSIAST ARRESTED AT EVENT
Jim Graham of West Mead, TN was apprehended by local law enforcement today after an extended car chase. Mr. Graham also known as, Billy Hell, is the founding member of a remote control group called the Profile Brotherhood. The Profile Brotherhood was in Leipers Fork for an annual flying event. Graham allegedly stole a classic car on display in the town square. Local police responded immediately and pursued Graham through the small town of Leipers Fork. Graham eluded the police with speeds in excess of 100 mph. Local law enforcement apprehended Graham after the stolen car ran out of gas on the grounds of the event. Law officer John Townsend said, "We were able to apprehend him [Graham] when he went off road and stalled the car on the air strip". Graham was unavailable for comment; however a member of the club said that they are raising money to bail Billy out.

"We were thrown out of fields, kicked out of clubs and laughed at by older pilots," Graham said. "Because of all that, we grouped together on the Internet."
Maybe this is his revenge?

I looked at the news site and didn't see anything about an arrest. However, I did uncover the kind of shocking scandal we all should know about:

I can't believe anyone would think Tony is a troll.
For those of you not familiar with Leipers Fork, the location where this event is held, a little background might clear things up. Besides being a great place to visit, Leipers Fork has a couple of interesting cars that can be seen sitting around town. One is a replica of the Dukes of Hazard's General Lee, and the other is a Mayberry patrol car.
Rumor has it that the owner of the General Lee is bad to leave the keys in the ignition. Boys will be boys.
Hope everyone is having a great time at the NashBro. Wish I was there.

Hmmm. Billy Hell, Dukes of Hazard car complete with a "police" car?
Wreaks of publicity stunt to me.
At any rate "thong girl" will probably swoop in and save the day!

I take exception at the following statements-
"which helps them twist, turn and execute maneuvers most pilots wouldn't think of trying. and " the more traditional remote-controlled airplanes are flown in circular patterns" Hello, the 21st century is calling...even most electrics are flown with a bit more authority than this.
"who looks more like a biker than an R.C. enthusiast," He does not look like a biker any more than he looks like a moonshiner.
Now, the mass hover that lasts for about 15 minutes has got to be the next best thing to firing a "mad minute" and you gotta love the "fly it like you hate it" motto.
Nice press coverage on modelling, something we need more of.
Go Billy...er, "Mr. Graham"

Well the rumor is true, I was arrested at Leipers on Saturday...in a very Dukes of Hazard fashion.
Below is a video of the car chase and arrest:
[link]http://the******************.com/~video/NashBroArrest.wmv[/link]
They passed the hat amoung the Pro Bros and the spectatotars for bail. The money raised was donated to a local RC pilot that was involved in a motorcycle accident. He has been in the hospital for 2 weeks. He is married with 3 kids and is self employed.
THANKS TO EVERYONE THAT MADE A DONATION!

I could not find an article about this, except possibly an article titled "Frist to push Graham on terrorist interrogations". Which I guess is about interrogating BH to admitt this thread is a troll.

More pics of the event.
In one pic you see the bonfire, in the other you see Swany hovering over the ashes.
The Pitts doing the low pass is a full scale plane that did an aerobatic routine for us.

The rest of the BH story sounds like a great publicity stunt to get people looking towards the flying site.
