Default stringer install

hi just purchased a new hull and want to no the best way to mount some stringers @ 5"for zenoah engine mount ive heard u can fiberglass a diffrent set of engine mounts in but have never seen them any pics or info would be verry helpfull

i havent done this myself yet but comon sense would use glass matt and resin. chamfer the bottom of each stringer so they sit flush on the bottom of your hull add a couple of cross braces forward and aft 5" as spacers and to keep the stringers upright in the propper position (vertical). lay up the glass matt either side of each stringer. i would leave the croos braces in if its possible for extra rigidity. as i said i havent done this yet but im sure this would be a good and propper method of doing this task

I would suggest maybe using fiberglass cloth tape instead of the glass matt.

Try www.modelgasboats.com,issue 3 in archives,engine rails 101,detailed instructions how to do your engine stringers,follow that and you won't go far wrong.

I usually make the stringers taller than what I think I need,,,,,,,, can always subtract but is harder to add.
