Redcat Parts Dealers (a list of them)
Hey everyone
I was thinking it would be a good idea to complie a list of redcat parts suppliers.
I noticed clermont is scaling down on redcat parts, in light of that i think we need to identify other
reliable suppliers to keep our options open! With all due respect to mark at topspeedtoys (top of the
list for parts and vehicles right now) we still need to have more suppliers to keep things competitve!!
It really don't matter where the supplier is located, but the US would be nice.
If you've bought anything from them give us your take on the service!!
Also add suppliers of compatible parts.
i'll start the list with topspeedtoys for the neewbies http://www.topspeedtoys.com/

Any in Canada? (Redcat or Himoto)
I bought my Torpeda from exportpro.biz in Hong Kong. Shipping was fast but pricey (didn't mind though, got the buggy with aluminum upgrades for $290 )

www.Himotoracing.com
www.exportpro.biz
http://stores.ebay.com/EXPORTPRO-INTERNATIONAL-ONLINE
You can "make an offer" on some of their "buy it now" ebay listings. They handle international shipping very well.

I was thinking of putting together an online store carrying Himoto 1:8 Cars & Buggies & Trucks. With Himoto brands being sold on eBay, it becomes difficult to compete. After all, I know a good deal when I see one... I bought my first Himoto on eBay.
Not to discourage others from taking a whirl...
Try here. http://www.rft-online.com/ He's in the Montreal area. I've never bought anything from them, but if you have good results... let us know!!

i would not call it a "reliable" source yet since there is no website....but
I have been a Redcat dealer for a couple of months now. Most of the time has been running the vehicles, fixing what breaks and a lot of learning. Myself and a friend have been running several different redcats for about 6 months now. We have been stocking up on parts, taking hi quality pictures, etc. The company will have a bigger focus on DIY resource (tutorials, manuals, etc). For example since I busted the u-dogbone on my earthquake last weekend I snapped a bunch of pictures for a small repair guide. I will have parts available from both instock (currently growing inventory), direct ship from redcat, or 1-2day delayed shipment since I am just down the expressway from the Phoenix Redcat warehouse.
I will not have anything online until early 2007, but in the meantime you can PM me and I can try to help.

RE: Redcat Parts Dealers (a list of them)
is redcat racing going to get it together and have all the parts avalible?. I have this volcano sv pro. 3 days old, already lost a half shaft, broke a steering arm. can't find the parts I need anywhere. not even at the redcat site. they have steering arms for the stx, but not the sv or sv pro. I guess you are better off buying the cheaper ones. at least you can get the parts. I just odered a t-maxx 3.3. hopefully I will have better luck with that one.

I got in touch with redcat support and found the steering arms. for anyone else that has this problem; the part number for a volcano sv pro is 02165, but you can't get them. however under tornado BB part #06043 is the same and avalible. as far as the 08059 half shaft. I guess it is on national back order.
