This post is intended to protect you, the consumer, from being ripped off!
Item number 283237 is the Skymaster jet that was shipped in error to Bob Moore of Haysville Kansas, USA. The history of this jet is interesting… The jet kit was shipped via DHL airfreight from the Skymaster factory in Taiwan by mistake. Bob Moore did not order this jet, nor did he pay anything for it. The DHL driver left the boxes on Bob’s door step without a signature. (Big mistake) Later when the DHL driver realized his error, the driver returned to Bob Moore residence and asked to get the boxes back. An honest man would have returned the items knowing that they were not rightfully his. But Bob Moore is not an honest man; his reply to the DHL driver was “What boxes?”
Now how do I know this is true? Bob Moore cannot keep a secret, especially when he as ripped someone off for $5000.00. Bob has bragged about his “good fortune” at several of the local flying fields and to numerous model flyers. Photographs of Bob Moore and the stolen jet have been seen on one of the local flying club websites too. (I have included some of these pictures.)
Anyone who might purchase this jet will be buying stolen property and might become an accessory to the crime. BEWARE!!! Leave this “hot” jet alone. [sm=thumbs_down.gif]

The guy can’t even spell in the ad.
People like this are just another reason why our jets cost so much.
Nothing is for free!! Ever!

IF this story is true, and IF this is the jet, why not forward the ad to DHL and Skymaster? I'm sure there is enough for an felony conviction. Mail fraud, theft, receiving stolen property, sale of stolen property, ect and federal charges if it is shipped across state lines. Maybe he should raise the price to help pay for the attorney... IF this story is true and IF this is the jet.

BTW, maybe this guy thinks Santa just dropped it off at his house. I mean if you read his ad for the jet, it looks like he didn't get past the fifth grade.

There are alot of facts missing here. If the package were shipped to him without solicitation, he does not have to pay for it. If he ordered it and never paid but they shipped by mistake, then that's a different story. Like I said, some facts are missing.

Hammerdown,
That work is in progress. And I am working on more evidence. I heard that the jet was for sale and didn't want another hear about victim. That is the sole purpose of this post.
Again I say: Stay away from this jet!

The story is true and the info has been forwarded to sky master and DHL.
As far as the jet being shipped to some one who did not order it, that was a mistake. But still does not change the fact that he did not pay for it!
Bob had ordered a SM F-18 which was delivered to his house within a few days the accidental F-4 delivery. This is how skymaster had his address. He then traded his f18 to another person in KS who is helping out with the scam for a Simjet engine (They also brag about being a simjet dealer). The point here is that most honest people would have given the jet back to DHL.
In the end what goes around comes around.

in australia there is a law stating "stealing by finding", probably named for all the things that fell off the back of a truck. its for just this type of situation, when there is an obvious mistake involving valuable goods or property, i can't believe that there isn't a similar law in the u.s.
somebody go after him, if only to clear this guys name

EDIT: there is no "stealing by finding" when a box shows up on your steps with your name and address on it, it's called a gift.......

your above statement is true about DHL, but only if they don't come back and ask for the items left. In this case DHL did come back and indicate that they made a mistake, and Bob had the jet and openly lied about having it.
Edit: The box did not have Bob's name and address on it!

that's been my point this whole time, the mistake wasn't Bob. if the box had someone else's name/address on it, DHL is at fault and should fork up the cash, if SkyMaster screwed up, bite the bullet and chalk it up as a loss, a valuable lesson learned. don't come on here and start a name calling contest hiding behind a fake name.

Seems to me Skymaster should replace the kit and then file a claim with DHL and
DHL should remburse Skymaster, DHL could go after Mr Moore but unless he is
somehow caught redhanded with the kit I doubt there is much they could do.
I would guess that Skymaster would only be out maybe $500.00 or so to replace
the kit. Just my .02

Don't blame the messenger or the shipper, we are human and we all make mistakes no matter the circumstances.
This has happened to me a few times where I received mail for a completely different name and similar but different address. Keeping the mail never crossed my mind, enough said...
Has anyone tried to contact this guy Bob. I sure hope he didn't accept something and then lie about something that wasn't his.
I hate reading scams like this, we have enough trouble as it is so I hate when there is scamming in a nice hobby.

Is it really stolen property? Don't get me wrong. If this story is true, the guys a real sc*&bag and has no morals but legally, has he broken the law? The merchandise he received was not stolen. I'm not sure what the legallity is of him keeping the merchandise or selling it is. Anyone here with legal knowledge? I'm interested to know if any law has actually been broken.
BTW, maybe this guy thinks Santa just dropped it off at his house. I mean if you read his ad for the jet, it looks like he didn't get past the fifth grade.
Marty
you have to be kidding, right
