Town square statue
This is the new one I'm working on...
Every town square should have a place for Oktoberfest...I know our town did!
The bottom and piller will be painted..either like concrete (lighter than my usual though) and the top and figure Bronzish. I'm thinking the guy might be too small; he is a 1/35 scale french resistance fighter.
We'll see, I can always rip him off.

RE: Town square statue
Good idea Dennis..how about a fountain too :P
If paint him stone color and he could be anyone, a founding father of the town we are ransacking
You may want to put a spike on the bottom to stop wayward tanks from knocking it over.

RE: Town square statue
Paul,
good idea on the spike...I'll kind of do like I did for the dragon's teeth...coat hanger.
I actually "bronzed" him...I'll post a pic later, I'm drybrushing the base before posting. A fountain was the original plan for this one, but I was looking in my Germany book and saw so many statues, I changed gears.

Dennis

Here are some shots of our "Town Square" The fountain was an of the shelf item (21st Century???) The plumbing was provide by SD Steve. He added a reservoir, pump, battery and magnetic switch. The little block to the side of the fountain is the magnet that controls the pump. Hopefully Steve took some shots of the underside. Otherwise, details will have to wait till the next battle day.

RE: Town square statue
That fountain is soooo cool! My wife just gave me the pump to her outside (small) fountain...I feel a conversion coming on.
