I just got done reading an interesting post from K94max.
K94 said he has put together a common replacement parts kit.
After today, I'm thinking he's right on the money. The parts for the AXE CP aren't so expensive that I couldn't afford to buy a couple extra things here and there.
Today is the perfect example. My heli got a little froggy on me and somehow landed on it's side. I snaped yet another blade grip, bent my new tail boom and thrashed my main rotors. Today when I orderedmy parts, I ordered just about two of everything. Two rotor blade grips, two sets of training blades, so on and so on.
If you had to put together a common replacement parts kit what would you include? Remember, I'm not looking to build a heli from my spare parts, just commone essential parts.

. Of course, then I would be repairing three times as much. One more item I would add would be a 6" digital caliper. I have used mine numerous times for making adjustments. I reload ammo so I have a scale already to weigh the blades and get some balance on them. Good idea to start a thread for parts.

I wish there was a place where I could post a list.
Since I am a newbie, I am sure there are some things that I haven't broken yet. Give me some time though, I working on breaking some more parts in the next day or two.
So far this is what we have:
Digital Caliper/Micometer
Tail Blades
Main Blades
Main Gear
Flybar Connectors
Anything with a ball on it...........
Thank you for the responses.

I got tired of waiting on parts from tower or making trips to the lhs so I bought a couple of almost everything that I thought might break. The most common stuff was:
Main shaft
Feathering shaft
Tail boom
Skids (both the landing gear and the skids) The skids themselves are changeable and I havent broken any through use, but if you follow the manual and place glue in this area for the training gear then good luck reusing them if you break the gear itself which has happened)
Blade grips - oh and more blade grips, I keep like 3 sets on hand and replace a set when I break them or make an order.
Spare flybar
1 spare canopy. Fitment isnt so great, always rubs on the main gear and sometimes tears in this area during impact. Also where the grommets are down low has a tendency to crack through and then you have nothing to hold it on well.
Main gear
Spare hardware set, nuts screws etc this stuff likes to play hide and seek
Spare linkages and control arms off servos (these like to bend and I have just been bending them back until one finally breaks.
Most commonly replaced parts for me are blades, grips, shafts without a doubt

The canopy. I notice that as well. Either trim some of it away or just cut slots out where the main gear is so it doesn't rub on it. On the bottom holes of the canopy, I just slip them through the pin without the grommets. I've never had a problem with it coming off. On the top ones, I got rid of the rubber ones that came with it since its usually a pain trying to get them through the pins. I had some tubing, very similar to the one that you use to hold the foam balls on the training gear, cut little pieces of it. I put one on the pin first, and when I put the canopy on I put one on the outside. Holds it nicely and keeps it away from the main gear. The one from the training gear isn't a tight fit, so you need to get one with a smaller diameter.
Good luck with your flying and have a great day.

Last night I ordered a 48" carbon tube and 40" rod for the tail boom and training gear (broke one of the training rods) from "goodwindskites". I will let you let you know how the construction goes and if the parts are usable for making them. I plan on cutting 3 booms and I might get 3 from the rod. Total price is about $18.

lol I'm only up to
1 blade grip
1 set of main rotor blades
1 roll of pinstripping tape
1 canopy holder (that carbon piece)
I had to cut that down to make a new Tail Rotor shaft. used an xacto knife and just rolled the blade where I wanted the length and after about a minute picked it up and snapped it off Clean break. Kind of like how you would cut glass. score the glass and then break it. Worked like a champ. I did notice that helimax went ahead and really thought about which parts were in the " Driveline" or "damage line" and used weaker parts to help save us Noobs in the long run. I agree anything in the top rotor with ball links is very weak. I'll be stocking up on most of these parts. had my heli tip today and run my new blades into the pavemet so now they are not new anymore but they are still in good shape and in balance.
At one point I read that blades from the Blade Cx will fit this copter what truth is there to that and if so does anyone have some part numbers? My LHS carries blade Cx parts. or else I can drive 1 hr to another shop to get the other parts for the AXE. I'd rather use the shop thats 5 minutes from my house. Which stocks the Blade Cx parts. I asked them to see if they can start stocking the Axe Cp parts and he's a stubborn old man that won't. So I'm stuck with driving an hour every other day for parts unless i can find a loop hole in the parts matching.

I dont know about the main blades, but I know you can use the blade tail rotor on the axe. I picked up a c/f rear blade that works fine.

Probably. I'm using them too. I got the yellow ones. they don't break near as much as the stock wooden ones. That's $20 a pop for a set so I am saving some money there at least.
