Default What would make a better basher.

I am trying to decide what to get as a basher. I will be running in hard pack dirt with some gravel and will jump every once in a while .

I am either going to get a 1/8 buggy or 1/10 2wd truck.. So what would be "better"? I am think of a Associated RC10GT2 RTR or a Robitronic Protos RTR. What would you choose? Thanks.

I am either going to get one or the other so, please don't suggest anything els.

associated rc10gt2! Has a lot of upgrades, reliable engine, and you can even race it if you want

I would choose the GT2. I love how they handle and I'm betting its higher quality than the Protos.

But it's not a basher!! A 1/8th buggy would make a much better basher, 4wd drive, MUCH stronger, more powerful engines, it's a total no-brainer, and a truggy would be even better.

Dokioto, try to stick to one thread please, you had a thread with almost the exact same name and lots of advice less than a week ago. If you stick to one thread, you can come back to find it easily and have all the advice available, instead of having to search for multiple threads, and remembering what you put in the title etc. It's for your benefit as well as ours.

PS. The Thunder Tiger ST1 truggy is the best basher on the market for under $300, absolutely no question about it. You'd be crazy to get a Robitronics instead of that, parts are easy to get, and it comes with a great engine.

One more thing about the ST1- Why is it so cheap now a days? I think that when it first came out it was around $500..

I have no idea how amainhobbies can sell it so cheap, but you know what they say; 'never look a gift horse in the mouth'. . To give you an idea what it's really worth Tower Hobbies are still selling it for OVER $700.

Here are the parts... http://www.amainhobbies.com/index.php/cPath/1_25_177

Here's what Tower thinks it's worth... http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXLXN8&P=7

And here it is at amain... http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ducts_id/17281

Wow! Thanks for the help.

Not to be a pest, but do you have a link to their site? I have searched and came up with something I couldn't even read.

I will be getting this truck in December (hard to make money at my age, especially during this time of year), so I hope A main keep selling it cheap!

As far as I can tell, it just keeps going DOWN!! lol. It was $369 a few months ago, then $299, now $289. The only thing to worry about is if there'll be any LEFT at that price!!

All the links you need are in my post above, the first link is parts at amainhobbies, the third or bottom link is the car itself at amainhobbies. Seriously, there is no better choice for the money in the entire RC market at the moment. The engine is a real goody as well.

Anytime, and don't forget there are a number of active threads about this car and many happy owners in the truggy forum. Read the active threads before making a new one.
