i am installing a bigger tank ,and i like to get at it so i can put new gas lines on from time to time.
so i made a hatch...
also if you look you can see i put 1/2 x3/8 x2" blocks in, this will hold the tank in place and the hach sits on top..

hey Ray,
i intend to build 4*60 also with some hatch.
regarding post #3,
what tank you had in mind, dubro 14 oz?
does the tank fit by length in this hatch? (inserting it with tubes on...)

is there a former or something that prevents longer hatch?

thanks
Alex

Looks great!! I don't want to hijack this thread but I just bought a used Four Star .60. Can you tell me the recommended throws for the control surfaces if you have that handy? I can not find an online manual anywhere for this bird. I so appreciate it!!!

I really like the belly pan added to the underside of the wing, great idea for hiding the fiberglass tape mess on the wing joint[8D]

Don't forget to allow room for loose packing foam rubber around the fuel tank, or your tank will vibrate and cause bubbles to form in the fuel, leading to erratic engine runs and deadsticks.

Yes, the wings are thick enough, but will need a bit of reinforcement to accomodate them.
