Default TEXAS ARMOR RAILWAY !!!

OK... HERE is a SNEAK PEEK at our TEXAS ARMOR RAILWAY....

Pictured is a Diesel Short line/ switcher LOCO... This was meticulously painted and weathered by Moonshadow...
Notice the German RailWAY Military Markings and special CAMO...

Also in the photo are 2 more buildings for the battlefield.. one on the left is a warehouse/storage bldg with storefront on the otherside...

to the right is a 4 story hotel... both buildings were built and painted by "wingman4u" another TEXAS ARMOR R/C TANK COMMANDER...

We are finalizing the train details with 6-7 more railcars featuring German Halftracks in rail transport mode, FLAK CAR, REDCROSS BOXCAR, and misc. flat cars with BOMBS, AMMUNITION, SUPPLIES...

THE TEXAS ARMOR BATTLEFIELD will feature this working German Train running with full sound, smoke, lights, on over 200 ft of track leading to and from an industrial complex which will need to be defended by the AXIS and TAKEN OUT by the ALLIES !!!!!!!!!

WE INVITE YOU ALL TO COME TO OUR 2nd ANNUAL TEXAS ARMOR ASSOCIATION EPIC TANK BATTLE WEEKEND this SEPT. 19th-21st, 2008 here in MONAVILLE , TEXAS ... home of BOMBERFIELD and TEXAS ARMOR...

WOW!!! [X(] I knew that he was working on it, but that is incredible! The September battle day is going to be unforgetable. [sm=thumbs_up.gif] Smoking buildings, working waterway, operating train and all sorts of amazing tanks on almost 6000 square feet of battlefield. I am jealous that I'm not there already!

Nemisis, You are going to need that train to move you around the house pretty soon. Maybe I can make all your buildings stackable, get you back some floor space. Do you think 10 stories will fit into our battle plans?

curious as to what scale or size they are using for the trains. I was at a train show the other week and they wouldnt give me a clear answer as to what would work with 1:16 scale stuff.

Eugenirus,

You might be right, but G scale doesn't look to bad, and it definately can add a nice touch to the battle field!

Good work Nemesis4u still holding out I hope i can make it, even if I have to camp out! But a need a couple of really good months if you know what I mean![8D]

Blitz,

I will be living in Houston when the September event takes place, so you can crash on my couch for a night if you would like. [sm=thumbs_up.gif] I'm still in Alabama at the moment, but when the time comes I'll have a Texas address.

3 1/2" gauge locomotives (UK) are 1/16th scale

in the states you call it 3/4 inch scale. But basically its the same.

"G" scale is Garden scale, and it is the most compatible size with 1/16th scale tanks. G scale actually scales out to be about 1/22.5

you could always say that the G gauge trains are narrow gauge

GENTS,,, THE loco is 1:20.3 scale..
It will look close enough as it passes by with flat cars, gondola, and Box Car in tow... A 1:18 Kubelwagen and Hanomag will be mounted on a few flat cars.. They look perfect....

CANNOT wait.......

HOPE YOU GUYS CAN COME DOWN... YOU WILL be amazed at the battlefield and at our Hospitality!!
Only place to see R/C WARBIRD SHOW and R/C TANK BATTLE on same site at the same time!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do I see a flak train in the making? It would not be hard to build a simple one based on a flat car using 21st Century's new [link=http://www.21stcenturytoys.com/area21/articles.asp?newsID=320]1:18 88 Flak Gun[/link]
