Hi all
I've been having the same problems of getting the GST/Genesis to shift into 3rd gear...
And have read about all the different mods and fixes but was reluctant to try them out.
So i came across another post :

I did the same, only WITHOUT disassembling the gearbox
I just turned the set screws ½ turn in from the outside and voila : It shifts into 3rd gear without problems !!
The goal is to have zero slop between the hub and the clutch shoes.
No drilling and no shims needed !
And another thing :
If you THINK it is shifting into 3rd but can't quite hear it, it propably isnt !
Now there is a distinct shift from 1->2 & then from 2->3 every time !
It shifts just as well as my Savage now [)]
