AAAHHH, I finally got both me vehicles working and tuned. No over heating and nothing broken. I think this is the first time in my short 2 months of Nitro RC's that I can say that. This is what I have learned.
1. Be sure you break in your RC. I didn't do this with my first one.
2. get a temp gauge. it's easy to over tune and burn up the engine. I did this too with my first one.
3. Don't drive like a drunk. Take it easy and drive smooth. you don't have to full throttle it every where
4. Don't mess with those needles if everything is fine.
5. When it's not running well, get a new glow plug. amazing what that did for me.... on both RC's
6. Don't leave gas in the tank
7. When all else fails and your totally friggin' pissed off b/c you cant get it to run properly, Reset all needles to the factory setting, put in a new plug and BOOM-it all works again.
I am a total beginner, so don't take any of my advice, it's just what I have learned to make my stuff work. Oh, and I now see why you guys have those magnifying lights on your work benches. I wish I had one. Thanks to all you that have helped me.

I have one other one to add, if you don't mind.
If it is running like junk no matter what the needles are set at, change the fuel tank seal.

Yep, but i guess you've got to remember we were all like that at some stage, as how fast will it go how big is the engine was all i ever thought about when i got my first nitro and it was kind of a bad decision but when i bought my second car i based my decision on toughness, reliability and parts availability and i can tell anyone that that is a much better way to go.

i like to help new people. if someone new post a thread asking for help picking out a car well every one nows what to expect. you don't have help the person or click on the thread if you are going to be annoyed. i mean just about every one was new to the hobby and you remenber when all you though about was how fast and how cool the car body looked. atless people on the thread are asking for help except for falling for a cheap scam on ebay or somthing.
the only thing i don't like is when some one new is hard headed, think they now everything and wont take your advise. (i have seen many times when everyone tells a new a person not to buy a car and they go on and buy it) i mean i have been in the hobby for sometime now and i still learn new things from people at the track and on this and other forums.
