Default pontoon boat motors

hi
i am going to use two of these out board motors they are 550 motors and i would like to use this esc that they use in a villian ex heres the motor inf and esc thanks rye

EP1 Outboard Motor by Aquacraft
This high performance scale model outboard motor has a 550 size water cooled motor and a ball bearing gear drive lower unit. It comes complete with mounting hardware. Runs on 6 to 7 cells (7.2 to 8.4 volts). The motor may be replaced with any 550 size motor. The motor case design can be changed to look like Mercury, Yamaha or Mariner engines with the change of decals (not included). This is the perfect motor for models up to 30" in length.

and the esc

7094 Traxxas Electronic Speed Control
The unique set-up of this unit allows for two 7.2 Ni-Cad packs to plug directly to the speed control without a "Y" harness. It can be used for single or twin motor set-ups with no additional wiring. Rated for 14.4 volts at 30 amps continuous, it also has a built-in BEC with an on-off switch for the receiver. This unit can run two 19-turn minimum motors, fully proportional forward and reverse, and also features a built-in thermal shutdown

Hey Rye, Since a pontoon boat doesn't go really fast and the props on that outboard are generally "geared" for speed, that you'd use a prop with less pitch and same diameter? That way the motors will run cooler with the reduced load.

I have an EP1 with that prop mounted to a top speed 2 that i use for a rescue boat, i had to use a thin layer of tape as a shim but never had any problems with it. Its a 30" hull and its slow slow, you might want to go with duel outboards
