More Diorama Pixs: Jeeps
#1
Here are some more pix. The jeeps are 1/16th Danbury Mint issue, reworked, detailed, painted and weathered. Most of the stowage are resin castings I make. Unfortunately, the men are 21st Century 1/18th "poseable". This means you can find a hole in them here and there, and all the joints show. But until some company comes to realize that many more American soldiers are needed in 1/16th scale, we shall make do with what we have. But, some of the soldiers setting in the jeeps have had their joints filled in, smoothed over and then repainted. They do look so much better. Enjoy, Panzerpaul

Museum Quality for sure! Is that "natural" light? (Try finding 1/16 or 1/18 Canadians [
] )
P.S. That kind of work belongs in Fine Scale Modeller... Or in the "Missing Lynx" Galleries !!

Again, some really great work. Looks better every time and a geat inspriation for many 1;16 tankers out there. The 1;18 figures are nice and when you get them configured where you want, it's not a problem using modeling paste and cement to seal up the hinges and repaint. A bit off color is no problem when one considers mud, wear etc.
For some reason, 21 C discontinued the US Tanker figure, but a few dealers have a few. For static or RC, they are ideal.

Very nice work with the diorama. In the 5th picture (L to R), is that a modified Dodge Staff car? I've never seen it with the frame work before.
