Fantastic weathering job!
Yep you nailedthe grime and dust that would have been collecting on a TIGER. Looks like a picture in TIGERS IN COMBAT vol I.
Fine work Brother!!!

the paint that i used is the Afrika Mustard.. used three btle of 3oz for the whole tank.. ehhehehe
for the weathering i used Water mixed with stamping Ink and permanent brown water paint mixed with lots of water...
but in the art picture of the tiger, it doesnt look like its a afrika mustard.. but in the file it says afrika mustard...
sorry..dont know why is shows the 131 tank.. well heres the tank that doesnt use turret number..

That's also 131. She was the only one that had that step welded on the front. I modelled my buddies 504 Tiger after the 142 and took some creative license with leaving the feifels gray. Of the 11 504 Tigers in Tunisia, only these 2 had numbers shown in the photographic record. It's not quite enough evidence to suggest that the first 2 tanks in each platoon were Tigers and the others 2 PZIIIs. This is how the 1Kp of the 501 was organized while the 2Kp Tigers got the odd numbers. This all changed once they merged with Panzer Regiment 7 and the 504th.
Have you seen Tigers in Focus? www.tiif.de? Every known photo of every Tiger tank resides there. It's THE place for Tigers.

now i got the picture... i came across that site and saw the caption "This Tiger of s.Pz.Abt.504 was captured by the British in North Africa. It doesn't use turret numbers, and this distinguishes it from the Tigers of s.Pz.Abt.501." so i came to conclusion to paint my unpainted T1 to copy that particular tiger.. hehehehe..
now i know the full story of the unnumbered tiger.. it has numbers but its soooo hard to identify it for it its too small.. hehehe.. now have to put "131" and paint the mud guard for the final touch.. hehehe
i was thinking when the brits captured it. theres no number..
yup 131 is the only known functional tiger tank right now...
thanks for the info..

If you want to get nitpicky, you can add the filled in periscope ports over the driver's visor. These early Tigers had them filled during production when the periscope was deleted from the design. The gunner's sight holes in the mantlet can also be moved closer to centerline.
Over at Tigers in Focus, the fellas have recenty discovered the turret numbers of several previously unidentified Tigers, including the 111 and 121. Previously the only turret numbers we had photographic evidence for were the 131 and 142.
Nice job!

The 504th shipped over to Tunisia 11 Tigers and 19 PZIIIs. There are pictures of a PZIII J attributed to the 504th in Sicily but in Tunisia the unit would have had the Ausf Ns as they were the support model to protect the Tigers from enemy infantry and flank attacks.
Both the 501st and 504th were part of Von Arnim's 5th Panzer Armee and generally under the command of the 10th Panzer Division.
The 501st was absorbed into the 7th and 8th Kompanies of Panzer Regiment 7 on 26 February where they served alongside Panzer IV Gs. On 17 March the remnants of the 501st were attached to the 504th until they surrendered in May. We do not know if this included any remaining PZIIIs or PZIVs at the end.
Colors in use at the time reflect the orders of the day, you can safely paint your tank in all RAL8000, RAL7008, or 2/3 RAL 8000 with 1/3 RAL 7008 as the disruptive pattern. You can also paint it RAL8020 with RAL 7027 as the disruptive pattern.
Now if you're going to depict a PZIV F or older or PZIII J or older you would use Dunkelgrau for the 1940 and early '41 vintage tanks and RAL8000 for the rest. You can also paint them Dunkelgrau covered with mud, or Dunkelgrau covered lightly with RAL8000. I'm sure some were painted with 7008 too!
Here's a pic of 2 of my Tunisian Panzers in 8020/7027:
