Ok Moderators. I have been patiently waiting to get your attention, but it has come to this.

I am officially reporting myself (since the forum tab to do so doesn't show up in my own posts) so that myself and others can see that RCU is paying attention to this development!

I have begun a poll here: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_9141982/tm.htm

Please take a minute to see what I have started and consider it as a possibility as a new or sub-forum as it seems like there is some interest in it.

BTW those wussies on RC Groups were too scared to do it.....[:'(]

<font size="2" color="#00265e">HellcatAce,
I apologize that I haven't seen this issue. RCU is a pretty big place and it's next to impossible to everything that goes on here. We aren't ignoring your idea about a new forum. The Owners and Administrators of RCU are always open to the membership ideas about new forums. We open them up if we do see a need arise. Normally when an idea for a new forum is put forward we will look at the new idea and evaluate how much anticipated traffic would be generated in a new forum. This is crucial in any decision to open an new forum, because nothing is worse than opening up a new forum and having no traffic in it.

I'm wording this link on to our owner and administrator to make sure that they see this.

This might be a good idea and a forum worth a closer look. We have a conversion forum from Gas to Electric and it does make sense with many airplanes these days coming electric to have a forum that deals with the opposite.

Perhaps you would be so kind as to link me to a few of your favorite threads on this topic so I can more easily get a sense of it's popularity.

Thanks fellas, and no worries on not noticing my little poll. I am very happy to hear that it is even worth considering. I've kind of started a trend at my local club with the idea after I coverted my GP PBY to glow, and am happy to see it wasn't unique to just me and my flying buddies, but something lots of folks are doing.

I have some RC Groups links since I found others like me there first...

I recommend a forum like this.   If you look in the 1/2a forums on both sites they are full of electric to glow conversions.  I've done 4 myself, the first one back in the early 90s with a GP Electrostreak and three more recently with E-Flite airplanes.

Hello there. Have you had a chance to check those threads? Been checking on the poll? Any idea if the forum is going to happen?

Just wanted to let you all know I'm doing my best to get others interested as well and that I haven't given up.

Thanks!
