I was having problems with this 61 Hanno not idling. A quick search and I found that I needed to clean out the idle mixture valve slots. (Thanks Patternflyer)

Now it idles fine but I run the pump adjustment screw in and out so many times I don't know where it should be set now. Right now it is flush with the pump body.

How do you go about setting the pump screw for optimum pressure? And what kind of pipe length should I be starting with?

Good to hear that it helped.

the pump screw should not be flush.

The top of the pump screw on my Hanno is 1.18mm in from the top edge of the screw housing.
I am not sure what kind of pump the Hanno is using, but I believe it is a regulating pump like Perry v30 that Open is leaning, closing is richening. I haven't run my Hanno for the last two year, so not really sure how to adjust it. (OS does not recommend EU to adjust the pump).
Maybe BAX at OS column can help you on adjustment.

Pipe setting varies slightly with prop, fuel, etc.
Try 12-12 apc prop and with the pipe at about 17.5" from glow plug to high point. Hatori 650 or the Hanno pipe.

Now I hear your not supposed to mess with the pump. I will turn the pump screw in a mm or two and see how it goes.

I have a 12-12 APC prop on it now. Not sure what pipe it has, it is red anodized aluminum.

I will run the pump question by the OS forum and see what happens.

That Red Anodized Pipe is the Hanno pipe (Hatori 650).
