After what seems like an age ( Waiting for decent weather, and time away from shows/ events) I managed to get round to flying my new Airworld F-100.
I have a P-200 Sx in there for Power. JR 12x with 8711's on each surface ( Two on the stabs)
The model was built by long time regular builder Paul Metcalf, and then painted by the greatest model painter in the world ( but I am Bias) Ray Habgood. Another fictitious scheme I am afraid. As a follow on from my old Airworld Panther, as it was a similar scheme, it seemed fitting to name this one Dirty Doris II in the memory of the Original Doris.
Ralle at Tailor made came up trumps yet again. He supplied us with all of the markings, paints and masks. I have to say that since working with Ralle as closely as we do know. My models have never looked so good and been painted as well. Ralle's advice on the Hot section alone was invaluable, and Ray and I are over the moon with the results.
The model ( As one would expect from an Airworld jet) Flies superbly. It tracks as straight as an arrow, and has enormous presence in the air. All it needs now are the huge drop tanks, which hopefully I will pick up next week at Jet Power.
Regards Al
If you have any questions guys, then please feel free to shoot them across.

Dirty Doris looks great mate.
Nice one Simon on the photo's, looks like you finally got the resolution issue sorted in posting them, shame they are out of focus though

Thanks.
Dry weight is 40-42 lbs. I have not weighed it, but it does feel light. ( Typical Air world)
If flies just the same as my old BVM one. A little slower ( In all respects) but I think allot of that is its much bigger size giving that impression.

Really nice. ALi, you really need a video operator...
How much runway did you use for takeoff and landing in this configuration ?
Are you going to present it at JP ?

I know, I know. But then I also need some one to do all the video editing also
One day I will get round to it.
Runway.. I guess I used 50m To take off, and maybe 60-70m to land and roll out. Although I was coming in fast to help counter the cross winds. Plus I had the runway to do so.
I have a few things to do to it, but yes it should be at Jet Power. See you there.
Regards Al.

What.. Are you allowed to Jet Power? [X(]
The second hand jet market is getting excited at just the thought of what you will be bringing to it in a few months/maybe even weeks time
See you there.

Thank you for the distance information. I was expecting something of this kind, given the low wing loading...

Hold on.. I didnt buy anything off you from jet Power 09's adventure did I?
All you need to do now is keep listening on what plane to buy, and then listen a bit more when I tell you what painter not to use
That way you would still have an awesome flying jet!
I might be a bit busy this year to take the Pee all weekend. But dont worry I will find time to have a walk round with you... if only to keep you from buying more toot that will adorne the JMA/ BMFA for sale pages in the near future.

Stunning model as usual, would you please pass on my best regards to Paul, he & I used to fly together and go to a few comps (with Gordon) when he was based at Faslane.
Would you ask him to PM his e-mail address to me (PM sent) as I'd like to catch up with an old friend.
Thanks mate

Sorry I missed seeing you at BITW! Looks like you guys had a great time!
I'm hoping to get delivery of an F model by the end of the year. I'm going to take a huge leap and do it in Flite Metal.[sm=drowning.gif]
Were you able to pick up the wing tanks/pylons as you hoped? What else do they have for this kit, as regards to scale accessories, that you've heard? Nothing is showing yet on the website.

What a beautiful Hun. Aside from the personalized tail codes / numbers, and nose art, it looks like a very historically accurate paint scheme. A nice sight to behold!
I always alter tail codes and nose art myself to make the model have some extra meaning! I love the nose art.

Hi Dave.
Sorry to hear that you couldn't make BITW. I asked after you but was told why you couldn't make it. i hope all went well?
One of these would look really good in F.M. Good luck, I dont envy you.
As yet, nothing has come through for my 100. Airworld promised they would have them for me at Jet Power..[&o] It really needs them as its a bare Hun without.
Eddie..
Yep. I cant think of many of my models that have carried a scale scheme. I very rarely see one that I like every aspect of. Plus I enjoy the personalisation aspect of it. I dont tend to like having the same model as lots of different people out there, so always tend to have a play around. Right now we are just wrapping up an Airworld Cougar, and for that I have borrowed another famous navy scheme ( Just as I did some 6 years ago when we did the first Cougar in Jolly Rogers)
Dirty Doris is a fictitious nose art that has some meaning to me
Oh and the tail code MI F100 was about as creative as I was feeling that day [:'(]

Hi David and Ali,
I agree with you about the scale accessories, the F-100 needs something hanging off its wings. AW makes some cool jet kits but they have no bling at all. The pylons and accessories on my AW Mig-21 are custom made and really accent an already nice looking jet imo.
