Default Can't tell what is real

There are so many differences between what is said on the box, the photo on the box, and the photos in the ad i would have to inspect all the contents of the box before buying it. Is that typical with ModelTech?

Model actually different than box art as nose shape is more accurate.
Box art actually dissuaded me from buying one until I got to look at parts while in a Hobby Shack store.
Assembled and finished this one in 1998.

Not sure what you are referring to other than the photo on the box is not very accurate, especially the nose. That is why there is a photo of the parts outside of the box. The picture of the "Rockwell International" plane supplied by Dick Tristao above looks correct as to actual scale outline. The kit has molded wing fillets not installed on Dick's Mustang.

I am sure you can find other photos of the finished plane to use as an example. If you don't feel comfortable in buying the Model Tech Mustang, then don't do it. In my opinion, it is very similar to the Top Flite 60 sized P-51 in appearance.

Actually almost identical to the old Royal/Marutaka 60 P-51. I had both.

Dick,

Thanks for your help. Model Tech sure lost a few sales with their pathetic photo on the carton. Your Mustang looks great.
