Do you want just the header? I have a couple I bought but never use. Are you looking to buy or trade? PM me.

I am looking to buy an exhaust header pipe for the top Flite in cowl muffler system. If you have a muffler that would be great too however they are still available from Tower hobbies. Let me know if you have an OS 75 FX header pipe with a 42 mm bolt spread. Thanks Jim

Jim, I have confirmed the spread is 42 mm. Top Flite lists the O.S. .61 SF 2-Stroke on the package but they use the same muffler. PM sent.

if you would rather just part with the header pipe, I can Still get the muffler from tower. Thanks for responding as I think The in cowl set up for my great planes Lancair 60 size 80” wing span would be a nice way to go. I was Going to have to buy a Pitts style muffler to make this work but the plans recommend the in cowl muffler set up to not have to cut into the nice fiberglass cowling. They also recommend using the engine baffle provided in the kit to get more air to the head. Have you ever used one of these in cowl set ups? I’ve read some of your postings and can see you are an experienced flyer and builder. Thanks again for the info and help with the header pipe.

Jim.

You can buy the header from me just PM me your address and what you consider reasonable with postage. I can get a padded envelope to mail it First class usually $5 or less or Priority Mail but that starts about $7.80. Tell me what you want and I will reply back. I like to see what I am buying so here is a picture of the actual item I will be sending. What you see is what you get.

OK great. Would $20 be sufficient? I can send you the money plus postage. Would $30 cover everything. Let me know as I know these headers are hard to come by. I also have a PayPal account. Or I can just send you a check

Make it $28, just send me a check to the address below. I'll pick up a small priority mail box and get it mailed off to you early next week and send you the tracking number.

Default Os in cowl header pipe.

Mike,

A check to you for $28 has been sent today for the OS 61-91 header pipe. So sorry for the delay. Apparently I thought my wife put the check in the mail Monday and she thought I did. So it didn’t go out until today Wednesday June 5. Again I apologize for this delay. Fortunately we both had a laugh over it. The check should arrive by Friday hopefully. Thanks again.

Jim I totally understand, I haven't made it to the post office before they closed yet. I have been handling a little plumbing problem the last couple of days. I hope to get yours in the mail this afternoon.

Default Great planes Lancair 60.

Mike, Here is a picture of the muffler header connected to my OS 75 FX 2 stroke. Waiting for the in cowl muffler from tower. They still sell the muffler but not the header pipe. Jim

Default In cowl muffler

Mike,
here is s new picture with the Header pipe and muffler installed. Nice installation and looking forward to flying this nice fiberglass airplane. Had to make some mods to the muffler and header pipe to get them to fit. Had to cut their outlet tubes a bit to get the collar to fit.

Looks great! Are you going to extend the muffler outlet to get the exhaust away from the fuselage?
