King’s (John McBean) is running a scam
#1

Just a warning to all of you that this person is running a scam. He contacted me because I was looking for a Brison 4.2 engine, and he said he had one to sell with the muffler that I wanted. He requested friends and family only for payment, and I refused. Then I did a quick search on the Internet and found the exact same pictures that he had sent to me of “his” engine we’re actually 10 year old pictures from another RC site he stole them from.
he is a junior member on RC universe.
He goes by “King’s”
His name is email is John McBean

Just to add to this: He has other alias' as well. I received a helpful tip from Kings sending me to
He has very convincing photos of someone's FW 190, but after cutting a deal he claimed he did not have paypal. Wanted payment via Zelle or Venmo--neither of which have any buyer protection.
I backed out of the deal and am notifying all that will333 (junior member joined 3/2022) and Kings (junior member joined 3/2022) are both sending the address [email protected] to folks who post a wanted ad. Appears to be a definite scam. I only hope people will stop using Zelle.

Since I posted that, I’ve had other scammers try to get one over on me. Normally they send you straight to an email address to “help” you find something you are looking for. Then they request not using PayPal Goods and Services, and they prefer another pay system that offers no protection. Pictures are always stolen from the internet, and you can locate them quickly with Google Lens..

He got me on a kit on RCG. Anyone have contact information on him? He obviously doesn't answer emails. I'd like to find the SOB. I've done lots of deals and never had a problem. It was only $130 but I did Paypal F and F. Lesson learned.
