Maket Place for Engines and misc.
SUBJECT: ENGINES
Noticed in the market place, sellers posting items for sale misrepresent their items by listing them as "NEW" when in fact they are used. Used defined as bench run or flown with limited use, or a lot of run time. Used is just what it means, not new in the box. A new catagory should be implimented for NIB, LIKE NEW, OR USED. I read a lot of offers from buyers who are mystified why a seller will post an ad as "new" and then describe the engine as slightly used but in excellent condition? It would be nice to separate these catagories not only for representation purposes but also ease of searching the sub catagories.
Thanks,
Charbee

Users have this option already. Here are available options in screen capture below. click it for fullsize. problem is we can only give options but it is up to users to categorize correctly.

Thanks for the response. I must assume the seller wants to get the attention of potential buyers to look at their ad, so using the "NEW" label must promote this activity.

Charbee,
You are not by chance looking at the "New" in front of the ads near the top of the page are you? If so, this is just a notice to all members that this ad has been posted since your last visit, not that it is NIB. I have to ask this only because the item condition is not visible until you actually click on an ad. The "New" tag in front of the ad title is there to help you browse the most recent ads in search of something you might be looking for.
