Default Deleting a thread

When I try to delete a thread, ( I submitted one twice, unintentionally) I'm told I do not have authorization to do so. What do I have to do to be able to clean up my act?

yes you can have a moderator do it but...what forum was it? Most of the forums are set so you can delete yourself...if you let me know the post title and what forum I'll see why you might be getting the error.

Marc, the forum is the Test Posting forum. I had a thread labeled "Testing for picture submission". I entered it twice, inadvertently. When I tried to delete it, by clicking on edit and then on delete, it told me I didn't have permission to access the page.

Might be a permission on the test forum in particular...I'll look into it. Thanks for the heads up and I'll get it fixed.

Ok, think it's fixed...try to delete your post here in the test forum

Thanks, Marc, it worked like a champ. The duplicate thread has been deleted.

When the moderators respond, they'll likely point you to the link just below and to the left where it says "All Forums". There's another at the top of the page, under Forums.

Once there you can pick a forum and open it up. You can make a new post to any existing thread, or start a new thread in that forum. Just look for the links, buttons, icons, there's one that says "New Thread" in the root forum and all the threads have a "New Post" or a "Respond to this post" button in a couple places.

Good luck,
Dave Olson
