Default Unwaranted Complaint Filed on 3 year old Renig

On 12/5/03 an RCU member placed an offer on an ad I posted. I accepted the offer, member failed to complete the deal. Never contacted me. 2 weeks later I left a negative feedback.
2 days ago, I get an e-mail from him asking me to remove the negative feedback. I can't. Now he files a complaint on a 3 year old deal. What gives???????????
What exactly did I do that was incorrect? How can this be removed. I did file a response, but I don't expect him to "resolve".

If you cannot make contact with the other person and you have reason to believe they are not going to follow through with the transaction, you should post an appropriate rating on thier account to warn others of your experience with them.

I am trying right now to figure out how all this works. So if he sends his buggy and the other guy dose not send his end of the deal what can be done besides negative feedback??

You should file a ocmplaint using the form linked at the bottom of the Rating & Security page in the marketplace. Additionally, you should consider filing a complaint with the police in the city where the other member lives as well as with the FBI's internet fraud division.

I got a negative rating and the issue finaly got solved here a while back. How can i get this negative feed back removed that should have never been left? He got his items back because he did not like our trade and he left negative feedback any way. I could understand if i whould not have sent his stuff back but i did willingly. What do i do?

If the comments made by the other party are accurate, then we cannot remove the rating without the other parties approval. If both you and he agree to remove all ratings from the transcation, we can consider doing it. Otherwise it must remain.

You need to read the feedback. He recived my package and did not like what he got so i sent his stuff back and he sent mine back. I caint contact him to talk to him because he is stubern and gets mad. There is no reason i should have to look at something that should not have been there in the first place. Look at my other ratings. Point is he got his stuff back and i got mine why whould he be able to mark me like that for no reason. Its stupid.

I have read the feedback. The fact of the matter is that a transaction took place even though you and he ended up returing each others items. If a transaction takes place, then both members are permitted to post ratings. Again, I cannot do anything with a rating of this age unless both members agree to removing them.
