1/3 scale Bowers Fly Baby, winner of Pilot Project of the Month in MAN
 

Here ia a 1/3 scale 110" wingspan Bowers Fly Baby offered for sale. Model was flown and was captured in flight as is shown in the accompanying photograph. The aircraft is powered by an Evolution 50cc engine and is equipped with a radio controlled choke and shut off via remote optical switch. Scale features abound as the original flying wire setup was replaced with a working turnbuckle system that allows the user to tighten all wires via a cockpit mounted turnbuckle. All flying wires and landing wire turnbuckles are safety wired to maintain adjustments made at maiden flight. Internally operated elevator control means no exposed elevator horns. Folding wings option makes for easy transportation. All up weight is 25#.

Two LiPo batteries provide power to the receiver as well as the ignition to the 50cc engine. The finish is all aircraft grade dope (Randolph's) and has been completed in accordance with standard doping practices (clear nitrate, silver butyrate UV Blocker, white butyrate, colored butyrate and final clear butyrate finish). The wing attachment fixtures are stainless steel as are the spar attachment tabs. The tailwheel is a scale Maul unit and is sprung. All flying and landing wires are silver soldered for safe and secure flying. Must see to appreciate. More pictures will be furnished upon request.
