Jerry Bates Dauntless
Really nice Jerry Bates SBD Dauntles....built by Marshal Emmendorfer...those of you who know him, know how nice he builds! Actually finished as an SBD Banshee...used by the Air Force...no tail hook. It won best in show at the August 2019 Thompsonville airshow. I have known Marshal for many years and he also builds stunning turbine Jets. His skills as a builder are excellent.
Power is OS 300 twin....kit was designed around this engine, and it is perfect for this airframe. This engine can be easily converted to gas using the Morris Hobby ignition conversion. The engine is in excellent condition and looks like new. All high torque spectrum metal geared servos. Plane only has 12-13 flights on it. Won't ship, but I will meet within reasonable distance from Cincinnati, Ohio. I bought this only a few months ago but I have decided I want something with electric power.
