Merlin VT 80
Hello!
When I shut down the turbine there is no automatic cooling down sequence, I have to run the starter motor manually. Is this normal, or is it missing some parameter in the ECU?

Hallo!
After a few bench tests of my new VT-80 and three flights on my boomerang sprint, i have to say that the turbine works flawlessly except one think during the automatic cooling down sequence.
Having throttle stick at low position and throttle cut switch to on (shutdown), the starter motor operates for about one second, then stops and after about two seconds it starts again, running continuously at low rpm untill temperature drops ,instead of running in short bursts of higher rpm ,as i have seen in many videos about this turbine.
Is it normal for this engine or is it something that has to be fixed?

The earlier software had intermittent cooling sequence. Later software revisions went to the continuous cooling as yours has to keep wear an tear down on the bendix/ oring.
