merlin 100xbl slow spool up/shutdown
bit of a long one, but here we go. i have a merlin 100xbl with almost 8 hours on it. when flying the multiplex data lead disconnected from the turbine causing a flame out.
now the turbine starts fine, but is slow to spool up. and then shuts down when pushing the throttle the last couple of clicks. it will do this regardless of what you set the max turbine rpms at.
did notice the pump pw at 190 at idle and just over 1k when max rpms are set at 152k.
i have since run it of an external tank straight into the pump. exactly the same results. so i can rule out the fuel system.
the pump has been tested on a brushless esc and functions fine, starts to pump easy and consistant. so i think the pump can be ruled out.
im inclined to think that the ecu has some how had a brain fart. rc has been relearnt, tx is set at 100 each way. fault happens on the last few sections of going full throttle!! at any set max rpm. even if set at 130k! all my other turbines are fine on this tx.
any help on this one would be i would be greatfull
regards

I have an M100 too. I can say from direct experience that the ECU for these don't like being shorted out - mine burned part of the pump power circuitry when the pump lead shorted, meaning it would not come up to idle properly. So maybe your lead somehow shorted when it came out? I'd be thinking it's the ECU.anyway.
