Scoeroo,
This is not really an engine clinic question as it does not relate to the Merlin operation. Smoke systems are an add on accessory for any turbine engine, not engine dependent. The correct setup would be indicated by the smoke systems manufacturer. I suggest you look at the Tamjets smoke system which can be seen [link=http://dreamworksrc.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=137]HERE[/link] for further details.
As for smoke fluid, there are a few commercially available smoke fluids (Super Dri to name one) as well as home brews. Suggest you use the search fuction to research some fluid recipes.

scoeroo, Dont you mean the CARF lightning ?

The flas is for 80-120N turbines and the lightning is for 160N turbines so the Merlin would make a good pick.
