New Merlin 140 Slow spool 6 sec?
I got my new Merlin 140 finally after about 5 month wait which is fair enough as there was a huge back order.
Looks good. Benched it, Kero start is nice and smooth, however spool from idle to full is around 6 seconds? I do not get any flame when slaming the throttle to full? Maybe the accel delay is to slow? Does not spool anything like the Vid on the Merlin web site? Also tail cone does not get hot at all like the vid? any ideas??

Hi Mav,
The FADEC may need to learn. Try slowly advancing the throttle one click at a time, stay at each position a few seconds. Run WOT for about 10 seconds, then slowly back down to idle one click at a time, as before.
If that doesn't help contact Gaspar directly at [email protected] . He doesn't monitor these threads regularly but he usually responds to email within 24 hours.
By the way I'm happy with my M90K so far.

Hey Joe,
I lost my FEJ f16 with Merlin 90 sept 2010. One elevator went to full lock. Game over plus fire. Gasper repaired my m 90 to new for a fair price. I cannot praise Gasper service enough!
