Merlin 140XBL

I just received my new Merlin 140XBL this morning and I found it has a 2 cell Lipo for the ECU. I have read the much older threads on the subject of ECU batteries. It was my intention to use a 3 cell A123 ECU pack. Has anything changed in the last few years that would allow the use of a 3 cell A123?

Hello Steve,
The manual states; An A123 battery of 9,9V can be used although the engine is happier with7,4V.
3s Lipo is not supported
