Estes E9P replacement

Default Estes E9P replacement

Looking recommendation for replacement for this rocket motor but with same dimensions and ignite with 9volt transistor battery. Thanks

You could substitute a D-11P. Cut a section of an old D or E casing to use as a spacer in front of the D. Total impulse won't be as great with the D-11P, but you will have a higher initial thrust. What are you using it in? If it requires the longer burn and lower thrust of the E to prevent tearing wings or fins off, then don't go with the D-11. You won't get as long a flight with the D-11 either, but it will boost a heavier load.

It's been a long time since I played with using different motors for different flight profiles. You might want to look at some composite motors, like Aerotech makes.
