I have a 977 charger and the problem is after discharging the 977 will not let me switch to charge mode with out first diconnecting the AC power and disconnecting the battery pack, then reversing the sequence. Any ideas?

Have you tried pressing the "Start/Stop" button once the charge/discharge is complete to reset the charger?
