Recommend A Quadcopter
I fly fixed wing aircraft and have for many years. I would like to try out a beginners drone, 12" to 14" in size. Is it possible to buy a quality quad copter in the $100-$200 range?? It would be flown outdoors. Thanks for any input.

Thanks, I will check it out. Have you heard anything about Holy Stone brand quadcopters??

I highly recommend the V686G. It's only $40 on ebay, comes with a 5.8GHz camera w/ monitor and also records the video, allowing for setting up shots.
The video is 1280 x 720p. It's a toy grade copter, but very very inexpensive and highly moddable. If you're looking for a cheap platform to learn drone videography without tearing through Phantom parts..this quad fit the bill.

Here's mine.Just finished modding the landing gear and adding gearbox shields:

I think x220s or the E511s is quite nice.

Hope you guys enjoy your flying!

It is possible. You just have to search for it.
