ESC stack amp meaning
 

Hi I am a bit confused about my stack which says it can handle 40 Amps and my stand alone esc which says it also can handle 30 amps.

For the stack esc, does the amp rating concern every single individual motor amp output(which mean it would be able to handle 160 amps in total) or is output to motors 40 amps in total?
