Lightbulb Revell X Spy mini FPV quadcopter

Hello people

I picked up this mini quadcopter by Revell today.. Normally I'm not that into smaller quads, but the several methods of control made it interesting to me, to at least have a look
This quad can be flown with the supplied remote + fpv view on your phone..
But allso only with your phone

Here is my unboxing, in which I allso explain how to start the different flight-modes, as that isn't really clear from the manual..

Since Revell is usually selling rebranded stuff, I wonder what the original manufacturer for this one is.Maybe the JRC 1000, the shape looks familiar.

Hello people

update time! I did a bit more flying with this little quad, and that did NOT turn out so well :O
The specs say it should have a TX/RX range of 50 meters, but I didn't get further then 10 meters :|
This was with the normal stick transmitter by-the way...

The specs on most of these micros usually border on the optimistic side.

Sure.. I would have been o.k with 30-meters... But this was just ridiculous..

I'm wondering if maybe the antenna wire in the quad is touching something? It could also be the transmitter. Lots of these low end quads have just a tiny wire for an antenna in the tx.

For sure.. And ordinarily I'd break out the tools.. I'm testing this thing as a normal consumer though (which is the kind of person that would buy a quad like this IMHO)..
So.. At this point I'm testing the support at Revell

You have to wonder if they even have testers at the factories.

With the prices of all those micr-quads.. And the speed they chew out new versions..
Probably not that much
