Default Q500 motor replacement ?

So I had an incident this morning with my Q500. I was flying low across a field (about 15' above the ground) and the noise from the Q500 must have scared and awoken some ducks. At any rate the ducks took off and one of them clipped the Q500 causing it to crash in a ditch that was filled with water. I don't think the Q500 was in the water for more than a minute as I sprinted across the field. I pulled the battery and attempted to blow out all the water with compressed air. The camera hosing and two of the engines were submerged. My guess is the two engines are pretty toasted?

I let the Q500 sit the rest of the day, and I put a fresh battery in, but its turning on without me even hitting the switch. The ST10 wont connect with it. I sent an e-mail off to Yuneec but it was Sunday so I doubt I will hear back from them until this week.

My question is to you guys, do you think this will be repairable if I send it back to them or is this likely to be a total loss?

I see there are replacement engines available on Yuneec's website. This might not be a total loss after all.

Give their customer service a chance to get back to you. At least in the US their CS department is second to none. Here's a good source to get directly to them.

Thanks, I don't us Facebook or have an account. I called Yuneec today and they were very easy to deal with. They told me to ship it back to them and they will replace what ever parts I need, and will send it back. I was pleased there is no labor charge, I just have to pay for parts and shipping, so I'm really stoked. I will likely mail it out tomorrow via UPS

You're going to learn a lot more on the facebook page but that's your choice.

http://yuneec.com/support.html

Use this to help diagnose any issues download the program hook up the quad and let it do it's thing. It's very easy and to can pinpoint just where you problem is.Plus when you talk with support the more you give them the easier it is for them to help you.

Thanks,
Yuneec is nearly finished with my Q500, I suspect I will have it by the end of next week.
