Looking for 30 flight time

I'm building a Tarot Ironman 650 with 46 mm 340kv motors, 40amp ESCs, 15.5 carbon props, Zenmuse- GoPro combo, Naza V2, FPV system, Ground Station module. My question is, what MaH battery should I be looking at for AT LEAST 30 minutes easy flight time? 3 or 4 cell I guess.

It's not so much the number of cells but the mah rating. Either get a really big pack or hook up more than one in parallel.

What do you think a 4cell 16000 MaH would get me?

You would have to know what your current draw is but I'm guessing it should stay in the air for a very long time.

You might want to do some reading on these two links. One has to do with actual battery measurements, and the other has to do with the fine-line balance between power and weight of a battery. I know it is all discussed with helicopters in mind, but it is applicable to all flying machines.

I would definatly go for a 4cell over the 3cell, Im no expert but I know that the higher voltage means the amp draw goes down. I get 15 minutes of FPV flying on my quad and 20 minutes if just hovering. Im using sunnysky motors 800kv and a 4s 5000mah nano tech.

Check out my webiste for more info: http://explorer4-quadcopter.com/

I would have said you want about 6000mah 4cell, What is your flying weight?

I ended up going with a 6cell 10,000mah lipo and getting 34 minutes.AUW is 3469. Had 30 flights on it when Naza decided to return to China!
