Interested in purchasing a multi rotor

Hello all. Im new to the multi rotor scene, but not to RC overall, I've been running RC's for about 10 years or so. Im quite interested in the multi rotor scene, but don't know where to begin to look/research. I'd like to be under the $200 range for a ready to fly out of the box copter. I'd like something a little big too...not one that is a couple inches across. Not sure if my price rage allows for some 12" or larger. Any insight would be great, just to get me started. Thanks.

A really good starter would be the one that Dutch is reviewing here right now. And the RTF with everything you need is less than 200 dollars. :)

I have about 5 multirotors,in that group is 2 Cheerson CX20's,for about $300.00 each,they are a steel,hook em up to Mission Planner,set up a few parameters,and fly,with or without a camera,it does very well in small winds,alotta fun,and durable too.

Hi,

Probably a little more than 200 dallars but you still might be interested In the build guide videos, there is alot of helpfull information.

www.explorer4-quadcopter.com

The explorer4 is an open source frame that has a clean/dirty section for vibration dampening, makes great videos and flys exellent.
Take a look.

....200 dallars for a RTF quad is a tight budget, but im sure it can be done if you use budget parts and build yourself.

X525 V3 4axis QuadCopter Glass Fiber Folding Kit w/ CC3D Flight Control T6 2.4G I bought this one on E-Bay. $161.50
My buddy has this model. And I was able to fly it first time out...Wish he had more batteries. Complete noob, but had a good time flying it. At some part I'll crash it and parts are easy to get and rather inexpensive.
Has plenty accessories that you can add on as your flights get better.
I started with a WLtoys V686G 4-CH 360° flips 5.8GHz RC quadcopter with 2MP camera & headless mode for about 80.00 RTF
liked it some much I just had to try something a litle bigger and have to put it together. Hope I haven"t bitten off more then I can CHEW LOL
Man these Quads if just way fun to fly.
Hope this helps,
Nate
